Cosmo is the superhero in me.

 

Fearless, fierce, and always a little Lady Gaga about it. Cosmo is the part of me that isn't afraid to say the unsaid. He pulls messages up from my unconscious and puts them into art, symbol, and mystery.

Cosmo is where I get to perform. Behind a mask, I build worlds that are mystical, magical, a little otherworldly. Every character that shows up in Cosmo's world is really just another piece of my imaginative, playful side stepping out into the open.

 

I love bringing friends into this world too. Together we've built photoshoots, interactive performance pieces, and full sets - Cosmo has always been more fun as a collaboration than a solo act.

His work carries the streets with it (Chicago, where I'm from, and now Denver, where I am) through materials that are grungy, heavily textured, worn-in, even rustic, echoing graffiti on purpose. Unapologetically graphic, always leaving behind a trail of hieroglyphs only he could've drawn.

Cosmo is the rebellious, playful soul in me. His work belongs in public, on the streets, in people's homes. Keep an eye out because you might just catch a Cosmo tag somewhere in the streets of Denver.
